APA Style (7th Edition) Guide: Webpage

This guide will help you cite your documents in using the APA 7th ed. publication manula.

Websites and Webpages

If you are only mentioning a website in a general sense, there is no need to create a reference entry or an in-text citation. In your text mention the website and in parentheses include the URL.

Example:

We used Qualtrics (https://www.qualtrics.com) for our survey.

In this example the newsroom is one of the webpages of the website of the World Health Organization (www.who.int)

Example:

World Health Organization. (2018, May 24). The top 10 causes of death.

          https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/the-top-10-causes-of-death

If the OER is available to download, then a reference entry should be created. The URL in the reference entry should take the reader directly to the OER.

Example:

Fagan, J. (2019, March 25). Nursing clinical brain. OER Commons. Retrieved January 7, 2020, from
